Frequently Asked Questions

Should I arrive early?

Please don't arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your schedule appointment time. To ensure safety of patrons and to not interrupt massage flow, the front door is locked while massages are in session. Upon arrival, there will be a short intake form to fill out and then your therapist will do a verbal consult once you're in the treatment room to go over the specifics of the day's session.

What should  I wear?

You will be given privacy to undress to your comfort level and get onto the table under a sheet and blanket. Private areas will be kept covered the whole session, with the therapist pulling back the sheet to work on one area at a time. Some people leave their underwear on, while others are more comfortable without them. You are welcome to keep whatever clothing on that you would like, just know it may limit access and techniques that can be done in certain areas. If you are needing neck and shoulder work, removing your bra will be helpful to get the most out of the massage.

What if I am nervous or feel awkward?

It's normal to feel nervous or awkward during your massage. Just know that the therapist has done this thousands of times with people of all shapes and sizes, varying degrees of body hair, acne, dry skin and medical conditions. It is the therapist's goal to help you relax and be comfortable while you're in their care. If you need a comfort accommodation, please speak up!

What if I don't like something during the massage?

Your therapist will check in with your comfort levels on pressure, heat, etc a couple times during the session. You are also welcome and encouraged to speak up if you need different pressure in a certain spot, if you are too cold or warm, if you are uncomfortable and need to reposition, need a tissue or bathroom break, etc.

What if I fall asleep, cry, pass gas, etc?

All of these are common occurrences during a massage session. Your therapist will continue to work as normal unless you ask to take a break. No need to feel embarrassed by any reaction you have on the table, your therapist has seen it all before.

What payment methods do you take?

Cash, personal check, credit/debit cards, Cash App and Venmo are all accepted.

What should I do after the massage?

To get the most out of your massage, try to schedule it when you are able to take it easy the rest of the day. Going to the gym or doing physical activity right after the massage will tighten up the muscles that we just worked out.

Who shouldn't get massages?

There are a few situations where one shouldn't receive massage therapy. If you have any of the following, please wait until it's cleared up before scheduling:

-Fever

-Contagious disease

-Blood clots

-Uncontrolled hypertension

-Sunburn
